5 Tips To Make The Most Out Of Ramadan.

Ramadan Mubarak! InshAllah tomorrow is the first day of Ramadan. Learn more about how to make the most out of this holy month. InshAllah your Ramadan will be filled with barakah and may Allah guide us all. “Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed as guidance to man and clear proof of the guidance, and criterion (of falsehood and truth). So when you see the new moon you should fast the whole month; but a person who is ill or travelling (and fails to do so) should fast on other days, as God wishes ease and not hardship for you, so that you complete the (fixed) number (of fasts), and give glory to God for the guidance, and be grateful”. (Al-Baqarah - The Cow - 2:185 (Sura: 2, Verse: 185)

  1. Intention is important. Intend to do better and be better. Think about how you'd like to better yourself and your life. Ramadan is a great opportunity to cut negative ties, break bad habits and improve your quality of life.
  2. Work on your relationship with Allah (swt). Focus on praying, making dua and being charitable. Fasting without prayer is like not fasting at all. Ramadan is the time to take a step back and strengthen your relationship with the creator. It can be a great reminder to be steadfast.
  3. Forgive. Many of us can hold grudges against friends and family members for both big and small things. Ramadan is the perfect time not only to forgive yourself but forgive those that have wronged you. If Allah (swt), our creator, can forgive then so should we. Forgiveness will help cleanse your mind and soul.
  4. Increase your knowledge.  Read and understand the Quran. Watch lectures with Muslim scholars and attend Friday khutba. Make sure to join our Instagram Live sessions this Ramadan, every Thursday and Saturday (@faith.consulting). Expanding your knowledge in Islam keeps you close to Allah (swt).
  5. Give. Helping those in need and giving someone food to break their fast is very rewarding. “ Whoever feeds a person breaking his fast will earn the same reward as him, without anything being lessened from the reward of the fasting person”. (Tirmidhi)
