Covid-19 in Islam
Coronavirus was something we never expected to happen in our lifetime. Many lives have been taken and almost everyone’s life has been altered in one way or another. The pandemic left many without jobs, loved ones, and basic necessities. Covid-19 has affected Muslims worldwide in terms of the way we conduct Prayer, Ghusl (for the deceased) and much more. Masjids worldwide were forced to suspend prayers for months. Prayer’s at the masjids have slowly been reintroduced in certain parts of the world, but prayer must be conducted 6 feet apart. Muslims are used to praying in congregation side by side. Ghusl for the deceased has become problematic since members of the Muslim community are fearful from contracting Covid but also need to abide by the practices of Islam. If you have any questions about what to do in regards to these scenarios, Faith Consulting offers one on one video sessions with Muslim Scholars worldwide. May Allah (swt) keep us safe and protect us from the illnesses of this world.
