God's Creations

Allah (swt)’s creations are vast and beautiful. Let’s think deeply about how much Allah (swt) has created. The complexity of the creations around us make us forcefully believe in a creator. When you compliment someone's shirt, you ask them where they got it from. Who was the designer? There has to be a designer, right? So why wouldn't we believe there was a designer, a mastermind behind the creations of this Earth? The earths, the heavens, the galaxies, humans, animals, plants and so much more. Think about how beautiful this Earth is, from the depths of the oceans to the peaks of the mountains.

The Quran says that, “The heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and then We separated them and made from water every living thing” (Quran 21:30). Allah (swt) created all living things from water. Without water there would essentially be no living organisms or ecosystems. “Water is life. All living organisms are predominantly made of water: human beings about 60%, fish about 80%, plants between 80% and 90%. Water is necessary for all chemical reactions that occur and is essential for food production and all living ecosystems” (EarthLabs, 2020).

How long did it take Allah (swt) to create the heavens and the earth?

The Quran says, “Surely it is Allah (swt) who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then he positioned himself on the Throne. He covers the day with the night that pursues it swiftly. (He created) the sun and the moon and the stars, subjugated to his command. Lo! To Him alone belong the creation and the command. Glorious is Allah, the Lord of all the worlds” (Quran 7:54). Allah (swt) created everything we see and know in only six days subhanAllah. The power of the almighty is undeniable and inspiring.
