Investing in common stocks. How to purify your profit?

Many of us are investing in asset vehicles which consists of stocks, bonds, money markets funds. Are we aware that not all the profit earned from those are not halal or non-shariah-compliant? It is obligatory for all of us muslims to be aware of and purify our assets. Thanks. Ahmad Eakub
