Who Should Do Qurbani? And What If You Don’t Have Money?

Qurbani (animal sacrifice) on Eid al-Adha is necessary (wajib) for every adult Muslim who is sane, not traveling, and has enough money or valuables equal to the Nisab amount (like for Zakat). What if Qurbani is wajib on you, but you don’t have cash? You should try your best to arrange it — like by saving up, selling something non-essential, or asking for help. If Qurbani is wajib and you ignore it without a valid reason, it’s not right. Qurbani is a special way to show thankfulness to Allah and care for others.
