Aniqa is a Senior Lecturer at the University of East London, and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She started her career as a mathematics teacher, teaching and learning across sectors (youth academies, school, FE and HE), and has spent the last 13 years in the field of Education. Aniqa is currently the programme leader for MA Education and MA Leadership in Education at UEL, and teaches on the PG Cert HE and Academic Professional Apprenticeship programmes. She is a speaker for BAMEed, a member and reviewer for the Chartered College of Teaching, and founded Trauma Informed HE, an initiative to raise awareness trauma informed practice within Higher Education.
