I am an advanced candidate-in-training with Ontario Association of Jungian Analysts in Canada offering psychotherapy under supervision. I started my journey with formal Deen Studies which further developed my interest in comparative study of world major religions. I, then, specialised in the psychology of faiths, later deepening it further in Jungian psychology.
The name "Asma" translates to "names." In our sessions, we will focus on recognizing and labeling emotions as they arise. This practice will assist you in managing reactive emotions by giving them names. We will work on your confidence in effectively handling current challenges by developing a deeper understanding of yourself for a healthier affect on your daily life and interactions. My work with you will include Islamically-oriented talk therapy, dream analysis, expressive arts and gentle embodiment practices for the purpose of experiencing the complex dynamics of psyche, which is unique to every individual.
I provide complimentary 30-minute consultations to enable you to assess whether I am the appropriate individual to assist you with empathy and expertise.
